Overview

ALEGRIA

ex. CAYENNE

ALEGRIA is an Ohlson 41 sloop designed by Einer Ohlson and well built by the Molich yard in Denmark. With her double planking, which has a plywood laminate on the inside, she should be very strong, with fair topsides. Ohlson designs are known for their excellent sailing characteristics, and a steel sistership to ALEGRIA has done very well racing in the Gulf of Maine for a number of years. We have also been familiar with another Ohlson 41 built with double planking like ALEGRIA's, and she, too, had a reputation for being an excellent sailer and performed well over a wide range of conditions. We feel ALEGRÍA can be well recommended for one desiring a 1960s-vintage cruiser/racer in this size range and shall be pleased to arrange inspections.
